In times like these, saving money is essential. And no one understands that better than Crescent. That’s why we offer a full range of savings accounts – for now and for the future. While saving money is never easy, with the choices we offer, we’re confident you’ll find an account that’s right for you.
To open an account, visit one of our convenient branch offices or call 1-800-894-4445 for more information.
Regular Savings Account
A traditional savings account, we offer two choices: Passbook or Statement Savings. Open your account with as little as $5. Interest is compounded daily and paid monthly. For maximum convenience, find out about having a portion of your paycheck automatically deposited to your account through direct deposit or payroll deduction.
Money Market Account
Crescent’s Money Market Account earns a higher rate of interest than regular savings on balances over $2,500 (the amount required to open the account). Balances below $2,500 earn a reduced rate. A Money Market Account provides for up to three pre-authorized payments, and check-writing privileges for up to three checks a month. You may, however, make an unlimited number of deposits and cash withdrawals. Interest is compounded daily and paid monthly.
A time-honored savings tradition, our Holiday and Vacation clubs are a great way to plan ahead for annual expenditures. Open a club account with as little as $1 and make deposits in any amount and frequency you wish. Interest is compounded daily and paid monthly. Holiday Club checks are dispersed in November; Vacation Club checks in April.
Certificates of Deposit
These fixed-rate investments pay an attractive rate of interest and give you a guaranteed return. CD terms range from 91 days to 5 years. Open a CD with as little as $1,000. Interest is compounded daily and paid monthly. Interest can be automatically deposited to your checking account, or sent to you directly via a Permanent Dividend Order (PDO).
Individual Retirement Accounts
A great way to put up to $3,000 aside each year to save for your retirement! Enjoy the benefits of tax-deferred interest earnings. And, depending on your situation, you may be able to deduct all or a portion of your annual contribution from your taxes. There are no fees to open or maintain an IRA at Crescent Credit Union, and you'll receive semi-annual statements to keep you up-to-date. We offer both IRA Certificates of Deposit and IRA Statement Savings Accounts.
